A New Wedding DJ Playlist For All!

Here's another wedding playlist for your perusal.  I had the thrill of providing wedding dj entertainment and wedding planning services for another professional athlete!  Well, if you consider golf a real sport.  I'm kidding!  The only reason I don't play golf is because a] it's way too hard and b] I would be addicted to it and spend all my money on golf stuff.  There's a little bit of everything in this wedding dj playlist.  I borrowed from my previous top 40 wedding playlist along with using my other wedding playlists from previous weddings.  The wedding reception songs you see below shows you that as a disc jockey you need to be able to mix stylesand genres that don't flow well together.  I mean, I went from classic rock to ska reggae!  It can work in your wedding dj setlist, too, as long as you don't concern yourself with creating the best wedding playlist in the history of mankind!!!

Okay, onto this wedding playlist 2010 for dancing (mostly).

I Gotta Feeling                                                   Black Eyed Peas
California Gurls                                                  Katy Perry F Snoop Dogg

This mix works very well for two newer wedding dance songs.

Right Round                                                       Flo Rida F Kesha
You Shook Me All Night Long                           Ac Dc
Sweet Home Alabama                                        Lynyrd Skynyrd
Saturday In The Park                                         Chicago
Making Memories Of Us (Radio Single)             Keith Urban
Feel Like Makin' Love                                       Bad Company
Dancing Queen                                                  Abba
Boogie Shoes                                                     Kc & The Sunshine Band
Tik Tok                                                              Ke$Ha
Dynamite                                                            Taio Cruz
Damaged                                                           Danity Kane
Journey With Jean                                              Dj Sizzahandz

Bouquet & Garter Toss took place here in between these songs.  The above track is a mash up between Don't Stop Believin' by Journey and Billie Jean by Michael Jackson.  Mainly it's the beat of the King of Pop's song, but it contains the entire Journey track.  It's belongs on a list of great wedding songs for dancing.  The reason why I went into those wedding events here is because the dance floor cleared just enough and I could tell the guests needed a short break.

Imma Be                                                            Black Eyed Peas
Alejandro                                                           Lady Gaga
Gold Digger                                                       Kayne West F Jamie Foxx
Yeah (Clean)Warning                                         Usher F Ludacris & Lil Jon
I Want You Back                                               Jackson 5
Respect                                                              Aretha Franklin
Twist & Shout                                                    Beatles
Footloose                                                           Kenny Loggins
Hey Ya!                                                             Outkast
Low Warning                                                     Flo Rida F T Pain
Low (Instrumental)                                             Flo Rida F/ T-Pain
Boom Boom Pow (Clean Edit)                           Black Eyed Peas

These two wedding reception playlist songs are practically the same beats per minute.  I mix in the instrumental of Low so I can mix in Boom Boom Pow.  Works GREAT.  I Gotta Feeling also comes in well over Low.

Omg                                                                  Usher F Will.I.Am
Shots(Warning Content)                                     Lmfao F Lil Jon
Joker                                                                 Steve Miller Band
Crazy Love                                                        Pepper
Closer To The Sun                                             Slightly Stoopid

The last three songs were winding down wedding songs.  Pepper and Slightly Stoopid are two of the bride & groom's favorite bands.  It would have been difficult mixing them in earlier, since most guests wouldn't recognize the tunes as they are not typical wedding music like father daughter wedding songs.  They were perfect for the end of the night, coming out of Steve Miller into these reggae sounding tunes.  A couple things were lacking at this wedding, but it fit with what they wanted. They didn't want my 80s alternative playlist nor did they want dj playlist disco packed!

I hope you find some great ideas here for your upcoming wedding to add to your wedding playlists 2010.  If you need help planning all of your dj playlist, you should check out my wedding songs timeline planner.  It works great and comes with Best of the Best lists so you can create your own wedding playlist for your special day.  I'll be updating at least once a month and into my wedding playlist 2011 sets for next year!

Can Your Wedding Playlist Ruin Your Wedding?

It's important when working on your wedding playlist that your wedding songs selections aren't all the same style, sleepy time tunes, only love songs, and not a big enough variety. The question is, can your wedding dj playlist ruin your wedding reception?

The short answer is yes.  If your wedding dj plays only wedding playlist 2010 songs then anyone who does not enjoy this genre will get bored and leave the wedding reception.  As I always state, wedding playlists need to have a wide variety of  wedding music pulled from the 80s alternative playlist, the romantic wedding playlist, and of course, top 40 wedding playlist songs and more.

When doing your wedding planning with your disc jockey you shouldn't just focus on the big songs, like the father daughter wedding songs and your mother son wedding songs.

Here are some videos that talk about the top 10 reception issues most couples don't consider when planning their wedding. These have less to do with your wedding reception songs, and more to do with some basic wedding issues.  These are the first two. I'll post more as they are released!

The first video talks about bar location. It's amazing how such a little thing can have such a big impact!

WEDDING RECEPTION WRECKER #1

The second video talks about your photographer can negatively impact your party!

This advice is so simple to apply yet so NOT considered when you're doing your wedding planning! Future videos talk about how a bad wedding dj setlist can destroy your reception in about 30 minutes! You'll have to keep tuning in, though, to see all ten!

I had two weddings this past weekend, so those of you looking for wedding playlists 2010 songs, I'll be posting those over the weekend...or early next week.  The dj playlist for both were very similar, but very specific...you'll see.
