Rap Hip Hop DJ Playlist For 2013

What Are Teens Requesting For Dance Songs?

I just finished DJing a 16th birthday party.  I must say, these kids sure like that Hip Hop!  I've compiled this Hip Hop and Rap DJ Playlist from their requests.  You'll notice they wanted some "oldies but goodies" such as Get Low and Move (If You Wanna).  Yes, if you're 16 and if the song is more than 2 years old, it's OLD.

These are alphabetical, not in "DJ Play List" order, so if you have these, put your sets together appropriately.

You'll also notice a lot of warning tags.  Although there's no profanity due to the versions I have, there are still adult themes in these rap and hip hop songs.  I know, shocking.

What About The 3 Song Rule?

As for the DJ playlist rule of playing only 3 songs from the same style in a row, that rule should not simply go out the window.  You should apply that rule to the BPMs.  Start with three slower rap and hip hop songs that are down in the 70 and 80 bpm range, then jump up to three songs at 128, then back down to three songs in the 100 range, etc.
